Pina’s a freelance journalist. Writes on culture. She wanted to interview Seedy’s ‘mysterious lyricist’, so she invited me here, to Malta. Back from the wilderness, we went to a bar in Valletta. Talked of Rimbaud in Abyssinia and The Beggar’s Opera, of the King James Bible and Hadewijch of Brabant.
Then she took me dancing. The ice and fire that composed her body were the same that made up mine; the pulse that freed her from the perishable was the same that purified me.
